In my experience as a bank teller who had several people come into the branch each week with various instances of missing funds / scams / fraud / etc… 99.99% of the time the customer had something to do with getting themselves scammed and about 50% of those people were completely clueless that their actions led to the fraud/scam, the other 50% realised as it was happening “oh heck I’ve been scammed and I know how.”Ī family member borrowing their bank details once and saving them.
